CONTENT INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS
This paper will be a two- to three-page essay in which you explore one of the topics in the Appendices section of our textbook by answering a specific question about it based on your own knowledge of and opinion about the topic. You do not need to do research for this paper. I am interested in learning about your ideas!
Choose one of these questions to answer for your paper. Note: you need to read and use the specific question posted in the textbook.
1. Question #1 on page 280 of our textbook. This question is about the topic “Should Police Use Deceit in Interrogations?” (This is the topic, not the question. The question is in our textbook.)
2. Question #6 on page 289 of our textbook. This question is about the topic “Moral Enhancements.” (This is the topic, not the question. The question is in our textbook.)
3. Question #1 on page 291 of our textbook. This question is about the topic “The Ethics of Immigration.” (This is the topic, not the question. The question is in our textbook.)
4. Question #4 on page 299 of our textbook. This question is about the topic “The Treatment of Animals.” (This is the topic, not the question. The question is in our textbook.)
5. Question #10 on page 315 of our textbook. This question is about the topic “Patriotism.” (This is the topic, not the question. The question is in our textbook.)
FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
1. This paper should be at least two (full) pages long but no more than three pages.
2. Use the paper #1 template, which can be found inside the “Papers and Journal Responses”→ “Paper #1” folders in the “Course Content and Assignments” content area of the course. Be sure to make the appropriate changes to your name in the heading and header.
3. The aforementioned template has the spacing set to double, font set to Times New Roman 12-points, and the margins set to one inch on each side. Please do not change this formatting, as this adheres to MLA conventions.
4. You are not required to paraphrase or quote from the section in our textbook about your chosen topic; if you do, though, be sure to properly cite by using an in-text citation after the paraphrased or quoted passage, and by including a Work Cited page for the textbook.
5. Submit your paper as a Word document.
